JOB POSTING – Assistant Producer

JOB POSTING

Assistant Producer

About Me

I am a music producer and composer and I am developing my capacity in the areas of music production, distribution, event production (shows and exhibitions), and promotions. I run a series called “A Night of Death and Doom” that hosts approximately 8-12 bands per year, and I also organize a series of experimental music events and shows, including Vancouver Noise Fest which will celebrate its 10th year at an event this December. My work is dedicated to knowledge sharing, building space for heavy, extreme, experimental and outsider art, and to the contribution of the development of my local music communities by making connections between local and international collaborators. While I am dedicated to this work, I have a very active music, composing, and art practice which has caused some scheduling conflicts impacting my producing commitments. I am looking for support to run events while I might be on tour or busy working on artistic projects and/or commissions so that I can follow through and support artists and musicians respectfully when I am producing their events and shows.
